Centred around community urban market gardens and an associated commercial hub, the proposal builds on what makes Hanwood unique, and will provide new facilities for the Hanwood community.

side of Leonard Road. Your feedback will ensure that we deliver what the Hanwood community wants and needs.

    Have your say on the proposal. 

    Following consultation with the Hanwood community, we will take on board any feedback and look to update the concept design. The next step will be to prepare and lodge a Planning Proposal with Council and other relevant planning authorities that seeks to amend the land zoning and change / amalgamate the staging that Council is currently considering for land on Leonard Road. Once the Planning Proposal has been approved and the land has been re-zoned we want to submit Development Applications for the land on the northern side of Leonard Road as soon as possible.

    Our primary goal is to prioritise communal well-being, economic vitality, a sense of belonging, and interconnectedness. With “Connectivity” as our guiding principle, to date the masterplan has been thoughtfully designed to improve community and living in Hanwood.
    We hope you attend and provide us with comments and feedback so we can make changes and improvements to the plan and make the town of Hanwood a more special place.
